Silver skin straw that upcycles the silver skin (chaff) that comes off coffee beans during roasting due to heat by incorporating it into the paper straw production process.

“After harvesting, coffee beans are exported to countries worldwide in the form of green beans, once the pulp and the parchment (inner skin) around the seed have been removed and dried. The green beans still have the silver skin (chaff) attached, which peels off due to the heat during the roasting process. By utilizing this chaff, the amount of waste is reduced, and the use of paper pulp materials is also decreased, resulting in an environmentally-friendly straw.”
